STRATEGY

No Strings’ programmes create lasting behaviour change and wellbeing, moving through the stages below to reach target audiences in different parts of the world.

  • We work through partnerships

We work through partnerships with major NGOs and international bodies, reaching communities through local staff and partner networks who we train in country. Organisations we have collaborated with include Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Oxfam, Save the Children, Unicef, Plan International, IOM UN Migration, Trocaire, and Born Free.

  • Expert knowledge and research

Whether we’re creating brand new films or using existing ones in new programmes / partnerships, we work with experts to fully inform message content and outreach design, and seek target audience input.

  • We make films

We work with some of the biggest names in the puppet world to create films that bring identified messages to life in a way that is imaginative, entertaining and powerful.

  • We design outreach curricula

Based on an understanding of desired outcomes, audience profile and partner capacity, we design a full curricula through which to engage target audiences. Sessions are made up of age-appropriate activities that encourage audiences to explore a film’s key messages more deeply and make them their own. They do this through imaginative and collaborative play, using different forms of puppetry in specifically-designed activities. Sessions can be up to two hours in length, and we can create anything between two and 12 sessions per target group.

  • We train local facilitators

No Strings has a highly experienced workshop team who run five-to-seven day trainings in country and follow with initial roll-out support. A full manual is provided to guide facilitators, and any future facilitator-led training.

  • We support with research design and planning

We use our experience to support partners’ roll-out and impact design planning. In turn, we learn from their facilitator experiences and feed this into future project development.
